GITEP SCITT Course Leader
Kate was the GITEP Subject Leader for Drama for 12 years between 1996 and 2008, alongside her role of drama teacher and Training Manager at Cirencester Deer Park School. Gloucestershire Advisory Teacher for Drama, Head of Cross Curricular, PHSE, NQTs and Drama are some of the other roles Kate has undertaken since beginning to teach in 1986. Kate has been the SCITT Course Leader since 2008. Originally this was a part-time secondment but with the growth of the SCITT, Kate now concentrates wholly on GITEP. Kate is an Honorary Teaching fellow of the University of Bristol.
Tim has been the strategic lead for the SCITT since 2011. He started his teaching career in 1986 as a geography teacher and before joining GITEP was Deputy Head at Cirencester Deer Park School, where he led the school’s Training School specialism. He is on the strategic board of 5 teaching school alliances and is a Specialist Leader of Education for initial teacher training and newly qualified teachers with the Odyssey Teaching School Alliance. Tim also leads Adfecto, the professional development arm of Gloucestershire Association of Secondary Headteachers, which provides support and professional development to teachers at all stages of their careers. Tim is an Honorary Teaching Fellow of the University of Bristol.
Anne has been involved with GITEP for more than 20 years. As Headteacher at Farmor’s School, Anne was Chair of the GITEP EBITT Committee, which oversaw employment based routes into teacher training. Since retiring as a headteacher in 2014 Anne has worked with GITEP providing support and expert advice. Anne is an Honorary Teaching Fellow of the University of Bristol.
