In addition to the award of Qualified Teacher Status, assessed by GITEP SCITT, our programme also leads to a PGCE.
From September 2026, we will be working in partnership with Bath Spa University to deliver a new PGCE programme, developed to complement our school-based training programme.
You will complete two assignments designed to integrate theory from research with classroom practice.
The programme leads to 60 Master’s level credits.
University tutors visit GITEP sessions in Gloucestershire, so no extra travel is required
All GITEP SCITT PGCE trainees are registered as students with Bath Spa University, giving them access to the full range of services offered by the university. This includes support with academic assignments, access to their extensive education library and all the university student support services.
