It is always scary and nerve-racking starting a new job, let alone a whole new profession, but GITEP quickly settled my nerves and I was eager to get started! From the gradual introductions at the start of the year and the ITAP sessions to the weekly subject pathway meetings, GITEP’s organisation, detail, guidance and support throughout the PGCE training year was second to none! I consistently felt supported and felt my confidence grow in and out of the classroom throughout the duration of the course.

Having graduated from university and unsure of the numerous different PGCE/teacher training courses to pick, GITEP stood out from the start. Going into my PGCE with no prior teaching or tutoring experience at all and leaving with an in depth understanding of pedagogy, behaviour management and personal welfare within the workplace to name a few, it is down to GITEP, that I feel ready to embrace new challenges and nourish my love for teaching at my first job!

The year goes by with ups and downs (that is true of any profession!) but GITEP’s built in and thorough consideration of trainee welfare helped me come out the other side smiling, happy and living the dream! I am truly grateful to everyone at GITEP for their hard work, dedication and high quality of training that they provide. I have started my ECT year 1 with confidence due to the depth and breadth of training offered by GITEP, I can’t recommend them highly enough!
