Every week, our GITEP trainees come together in subject groups, guided by our expert Subject Leads, to deepen their understanding of both subject knowledge and effective teaching strategies. These sessions are a vital part of our teacher training programme, helping trainees to make links between their leaning and their classroom practice.

Beyond learning, these sessions are a great opportunity to build strong professional relationships, share tips and good practice and collaborate with peers.

From interactive workshops and thought-provoking seminars to inspiring guest speakers and educational visits, no two weeks are the same!

All our Subject Leads are practising teachers, seconded from our partnership schools across Gloucestershire, bringing real-world classroom experience into every session.
