GITEP SCITT Again Rated in Top 25%!
GITEP in Top 25 percent of SCITTS

GITEP SCITT is proud to have, once again, been rated among the top 25% of initial teacher training providers by the Department for Education, an honour shared in the South West with only three other providers of secondary teacher training: the University of Bristol (our partner for PGCE), the University of Exeter and Cornwall SCITT.

This recognition comes with “multiple-year allocations”, guaranteeing teacher training places for the next three years. The letter from the DfE says:

“We are pleased to confirm that your organisation has been awarded multiple-year allocations from the academic year 2019 to 2020.
Multiple-year allocations give the top performing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) providers a guaranteed number of postgraduate ITT places in future years, offering longer-term stability and planning opportunities. ITT providers awarded multiple-year allocations this year will receive a guaranteed number of training places until 2021 to 2022 inclusive.  For the academic year 2019 to 2020, the top 25% of ITT providers have been awarded multiple-year allocations.”
